There's a new drainage inspector in town.

Mike McIssac was recently appointed by town councillors here on April 19.

The Tile Drainage Act makes provincial loans available for farm drainage work through the town council.

Once council passes the bylaw to make funds available, the applicant can apply for a loan covering up to 75% of the work.

That drainage work would be inspected.

With the restructuring within public works department, Chief Administrative Officer  Bill White recommended that McIssac also be appointed the tile drainage inspector.
