Meetings set for Erin fill, water bylaws

Councillors here have set the meeting dates to discuss what have been two very contentious issues in the town over the past year.

On Sept. 27 at 7:30pm Erin council will host a special meeting on a proposed bylaw governing the dumping of fill within the town.

And the Oct. 25 council meeting will be set aside to discuss mandatory connection to the town’s water system (section three of the town’s new water bylaw).

The purpose of the Oct. 25 meeting is not to receive comments from the pubic – that has already occurred – but to offer councillors their first opportunity to speak to the controversial section of the bylaw.
