Mayor RossZuj: Circumstances of Woods departure remain confidential

It doesn’t look like any answers will be forthcoming on last month’s sudden departure of Michael Wood as Centre Wellington’s chief administrative officer. Wood left the post in mid-July.

Initially, the departure was announced by means of a press release from municipality.

Additional requests for that information brought forth the following response from Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj, “The circumstances surrounding the stepping down of Michael Wood are protected under Section B-239 of the Municipal Act. Any matters relating to personal information about an identifiable individual are confidential.”

Ross-Zuj added, “We are moving forward in the community with positive changes that reflect the public best interests in a comprehensive system.”
