Mapleton man dead after tractor rollover
MAPLETON – A Mapleton man is dead following a tractor rollover here on the weekend.
On June 20 at about 6:15pm, emergency crews responded to the scene on the 14th Line in Mapleton.
Wellington County OPP officials say the operator of the tractor was cutting grass in the ditch along the road "when it rolled down the steep embankment and pinned [him] underneath."
Gordon Thring, 77, of Alma, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Members of the OPP's Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team assisted Wellington officers with the collision investigation.
