Mapleton grant application rejected
The township will not be receiving a federal grant to help cover 50% of proposed upgrades to the PMD arena hall in Drayton.
In November the township had applied for funding through the federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario to help cover $140,000 in upgrades, including a new roof and flooring, a portable stage and risers, new sound system and acoustical barriers and electrical panel upgrades. But last week clerk Patty?Sinnamon announced the application was not approved.
