Mapleton Buds and Blooms to hold annual plant sale June 6

MOOREFIELD – Mapleton Buds and Blooms has announced its annual plant sale will be held on June 6 from 9am to noon in front of Hammond’s store on Main Street.

In a Facebook post, the Moorefield horticultural society states “social distancing will be in effect,” at the event.

Patrons will be required to line up if there are others present at the same time. Patrons are asked to bring trays or boxes or a wagon to hold purchases.

“Once you go through the line you will not be allowed back unless you line up again,” horticultural society officials state.

2020 society memberships will also be on sale. The membership fee is $8, a portion of which goes towards buying plants for the community gardens members look after. Those purchasing memberships will also receive a 2020 yearbook with the schedule of events planned for the year which organizers “hope will be happening at some point.”
