Man and woman face theft, weapon, drug charges

On April 22 at about 5:15am, Wellington County OPP officers were dispatched to a report of a vehicle stuck in the ditch on Jones Baseline near Mill Road here.

Police say when officers arrived they saw two people with a Ford F150 that had been previously reported as stolen.

“A male party proceeded to flee the scene on foot while the female passenger was located and arrested,” police stated in a press release.

The man was eventually located and arrested.

Police allege stolen property was discovered on the passenger and in the truck.

Danielle Moss, 28, of Cambridge, and Dale Southard, 31, of no fixed address, were charged with:

– possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000;

– seven counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000;

– possession of break-in instruments;

– three counts of possession of stolen identity documents;

– possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;

– two counts of possession of methamphetamines; and

– possession of a prohibited device or ammunition.

Southard was also charged with assault with the intent to resist arrest. Both were held for bail.
