Making an impression

Local artist Rick Worthington captures Elora storefronts on Aug. 2 using the plein air style made famous by artists such as Claude Monet and Pierre-August Renoir. The idea, he says, is to “capture the light and shadow over a two-hour period.” Worthington’s creations, along with several other artists’ work completed during the Art in the Open event, were auctioned off with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Elora green space.     photos by Meagan Leonard
