Lyme disease fundraiser, yard sale

Lyme disease and its co-infections can be a serious health threat.

The disease can be contracted through the bite of a tick, flea, mosquito, black fly, sand fly, deer fly, in vitro and can be sexually transmitted.

It is now high season for contracting this potentially fatal and debilitating disease.

Canada still has inaccurate testing and does not treat Lyme disease, especially its more fatal later stages and co-infections.

Lyme is mimics many diseases like Parkinson’s, MS, lupus, Alzheimer’s, ALS, Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis, fibromyalgia, heart disease and more.

To learn about the prevention and treatment of lyme disease a person can search the Canada Lyme website at www.canlyme.com, or attend the first annual healing lyme disease fundraiser, yard sale and education event.

The event will be July 27 from noon until 6pm.

Special events include two living food demos: wild food smoothies at 3pm, and healthy snacks at 5pm. The award-winning documentary Under Our Skin will be shown at 6pm.

There will be a lyme disease education station, live music, and big bubble making. Throughout the event a variety of items will be for sale, including: organic ice cream, lemonade, living foods, natural insect repellent, birdhouses, benches, modern Christian books and CDs, fiction and instructional books, assistive devices for people with disabilities, furniture, clothes, art, and assorted house ware.

The July 27 event takes place at 6157 Wellington Road 26 (south of Belwood Lake). All proceeds are used for the treatment of people suffering from lyme disease.
