Local resident dead after single-vehicle crash in Erin
ERIN – A local senior is dead following a single-vehicle crash here on Friday morning.
Wellington County OPP officials say emergency crews responded to the intersection of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Erin-Garfraxa Townline, north of Hillsburgh, on Oct. 21 at about 6:45am.
"Initial reports indicated that a pickup truck had left the roadway and that there were serious injuries," police stated in a press release.
Police say the driver and passenger were taken to hospital and the passenger, was pronounced dead.
The driver was treated for minor injuries, police added.
Police later identified the dead passenger as Robert Ernest Gurr, 76, of Erin.
