What is your story of living on less? Is it out of necessity? Or is it a conscious choice?
The “living on less” program would like to hear about experiences and tips for living simply in the Guelph community. Community members are invited to participate in a free eight week living on less program that offers creative and practical strategies for living a financially and environmentally sustainable lifestyle.
The winter 2015 series begins Jan. 12 from 9:30am to 12pm and runs weekly until March 9 at St. James the Apostle Church in Guelph.
In these workshops, participants will combine experiences and expertise of community members and knowledgeable speakers to write stories of living sustainably.
Workshops will explore putting a plan into action, backyard gardening, cooking healthy meals, clothing swaps, alternative employment and getting involved in the Guelph community. The series is sponsored by TD Friends of the Environment Foundation and St. James the Apostle Anglican Church. Living on less is non-denominational, wheelchair accessible and offers limited spaces for free childcare. Register by emailing livingonless@sjapostle.ca or phoning 519-837-1061.
