Library branches have a lot going on this month

If there’s one thing we love at Wellington County Library, it’s bringing together Canadian books and young readers.

Canadian Children’s Book Week was created with just that mission in mind. From April 28 – May 4, show your support for Canadian authors by dropping in to one of your local branches and checking out some Canadian content.

If you’re looking your next great Canadian read and you don’t know where to start, ask staff for a recommendation or browse our collection online at www.wellington.ca/Catalogue. You can find reading lists and search for titles to fit any mood, including plenty of Canadian content.

Here are a few of the titles by Canadian authors for kids that we’re excited about this month:

A Garden Called Home by Jessica J. Lee;

Professor Goose Debunks the Three Little Pigs by Paulette Bourgeois and Alex G. Griffiths;

I Do Not Eat Children by Marcus Cutler;

Butterfly on the Wind by Adam Pottle;

The Only Lonely Fairy by Lana Button;

Swimming into Trouble by Angela Ahn; and

Night of the Living Zed by Basil Sylvester and Kevin Sylvester.
