While councillors in Puslinch dealt with business of the day on Nov. 4, Mayor Dennis Lever was in Toronto seeking improvements to Ontario’s Aggregate Resources Act.

Mayor Lever was unable to attend the regular Nov. 4 council meeting because of the Toronto meeting.

Councillor Susan Fielding, who chaired the Nov. 4 Puslinch council meeting, read a brief statement from the mayor who apologized for not being able to attend the day’s meeting.

Lever was meeting with the Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry representatives in Toronto regarding the Aggregate Resources Act review.

Lever also serves as chairman for the Top Aggregate Producing Municipalities of Ontario (TAPMO).
