Family grateful

Dear Editor:

In July of this year, our 10-year-old son, Alex, was diagnosed with cancer. He had to undergo abdominal surgery and then chemotherapy. It was a horrendous time to say the least. He has finished treatment and seems to be doing well.

My husband and I have been reflecting on the year gone by and wanted to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to so many friends and family. We live in a wonderful, caring community!

People that we knew and many people that we have never met have been so caring, supportive and generous. Our journey through this tough time was easier to navigate thanks to the fantastic folks that live in Centre Wellington.

Our wish this Christmas is that you all will experience much joy, peace and love in the year to come.

Thank you, everyone, for your outpouring of blessings in our lives. It is something we will never forget!

Catherine and Rick King,
Elora
