Knetsch not seeking re-election
An incumbent Mapleton councillor has taken himself out of the running for the municipal election.
Councillor Andy Knetsch announced during the March 25 council meeting he does not plan to run in the Oct. 27 election.
“I have made a decision not to seek re-election in the coming election,” said Knetsch, who noted, “at the end of the year I will be pursuing other opportunities and other challenges.”
