Keean White Named CAVALOR ‘Athlete of the Month’ for November

Jump Canada has named Keean White the CAVALOR ‘Athlete of the Month’ for November.

White, 25, of Rockwood, claimed his first Canadian Championship title by winning the $100,000 Canadian Show Jumping Championship, presented by Greenhawk, on November 8, 2008, at The Royal Horse Show.

The $100,000 Canadian Show Jumping Championship opened The Royal Horse Show on Friday evening, November 7, with a speed phase, and riders carried their scores forward to Saturday’s two-round final.  Riding Celena Z, an eight-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare owned by Lindsay Schiassi, White accumulated a total of 2.71 faults over the three rounds of competition to secure the Canadian Show Jumping Championship title for the first time in his career.

“Being named the ‘Athlete of the Month’ by Jump Canada is an excellent way to wrap-up the month of November and a great way to end my 2008 season,” said White.

As the CAVALOR ‘Athlete of the Month’ for November, White receives a gift certificate from the title sponsor, CAVALOR Canada.
