Improving services at Groves hospital

Groves Memorial Community Hospital Anaesthesia and Obstetrics Groups are now offering round-the-clock anaesthetic and epidural services for women in labour.

The new service is possible due to the recent recruitment of two family doctors with anaesthesia training.

In the last year, Groves has upgraded its newborn equipment, renovated and expanded one of the two labour rooms, and many of the post-partum beds are now private rooms permitting partners to room-in with mom and newborns.

“All of the recent changes are part of an on-going commitment to provide excellence in family centered maternity care,” said obstetrician Dr. Dan Reilly.

“Groves Memorial Community Hospital is fortunate to have such highly trained doctors and nurses providing state-of-the-art obstetrical services with exceptional personal care and attention,” said Jerome Quenneville, hospital President and Chief Executive Officer.”
