Campaign – Hospice Wellington will be selling ornaments again this year with its annual Tree of Remembrance campaign. With the purchase of each ornament people are invited to write a lost loved one’s name on a tag to put on the Tree of Remembrance in their honour. GUELPH – Hospice Wellington’s annual Tree of Remembrance ornament sale will be happening at Stone Road Mall in Guelph from Dec. 1 through to 21.

Seasonal ornaments are sold for $12 each to raise money for Hospice Wellington’s end-of-life services and support programming.

With each purchase, people can write out the name of a lost loved one the ornament was bought in honour of, and hang the remembrance tag on the Tree of Remembrance.

Officials say these remembrance tags are one of the most important parts of the campaign.

The annual event is once again presented by sponsor Andra Arnold and Associates this year.

“The Tree of Remembrance campaign is more than just a sale, it’s about supporting those who’ve lost loved ones and letting them know we’re here for them,” Hospice officials state.

The Tree of Remembrance occurs every December and is a long-standing holiday campaign for Hospice Wellington to bring awareness and much needed funds.

“The holiday season can be an extremely difficult time for individuals and families coping through loss and grief.

“Our campaign spreads awareness of our supportive programming and services.”

The campaign goal is to raise $10,000.

The Tree of Remembrance ornament sale will take place near Santa’s Photo Area (and H&M) in the mall.

Donations will also be accepted there.

New this year, Hospice Wellington has a Tree of Remembrance website for those that would like to make a holiday donation online – hospicewellington.akaraisin.com/ui/Tree2025.

Those in Wellington County that would like to pick up an ornament but cannot make it to Stone Road Mall are encouraged to connect with Laurie Rogers who year-after-year generously takes ornaments up to the Elora/Fergus area in November and December to help sell.

To arrange pick up from Rogers, email her at glrogers@wightman.ca.

Ornaments can also be picked up at Hospice Wellington starting Dec. 1 on both the residence and community levels.
