Hop on over to Feast of Hops, one of Erin Rotary’s signature events

ERIN – The Rotary Club of Erin will host its annual Feast of Hops – one of Erin Rotary’s signature fundraising community events, including Family Day, Feast of Hops, and Wine Survivor.

Together, these events are an opportunity to invite people from our community to gather for family-friendly fun and help support Erin Rotary’s work in supporting those in need.

Feast of Hops is slated for Sept. 17 from 2 to 5pm at the Erin Agricultural Society, 184 Main St. in Erin village.

Guests will sample local food and beverages in a relaxed and neighbourly atmosphere while enjoying entertainment by the Campfire Poets.

The event will include six local restaurants and six craft beer producers.

Drinks and food sampling will be available throughout the event, allowing participants to vote on their favourite food offerings.

The victorious culinary team will be announced during a closing ceremony at the end of the day when the coveted People’s Choice Award trophy will be handed out.

Tickets cost $ 75 per person; you must be 19 or older to attend.

Tickets can be purchased by cash or credit card. For further information or ticket sales, see erinrotary.com/foh.

Its local motto is “Energize  Erin” and over the years, the club has been involved and provided hands-on support to renovate the Centre 2000 Senior’s Centre, the Home Show, the Erin Community Awards night, road clean-ups, tree planting and trail construction.

Other contributions have included the Rotary Trail, the Picnic Shelter at Victoria Park, critical support of the Food Bank during COVID-19, and the Erin medical clinic’s purchase of a vaccine fridge to store COVID-19 and flu vaccines properly.
