Honour Guard

FERGUS  – Every year on the 11th day of the 11th month and at the 11th hour, Canadians across the country pause for a moment silence.  They do so in remembrance of the men and women who have served, and continue to serve our country in the military during times of war, conflict and peace.

The OPP honours all Canadian military who have served in all wars as well as peacekeeping missions. Many Canadians have served in this way, and many have given the ultimate sacrifice of their lives so that all Canadians may live in peace.

Again this year from 11pm on Nov. 10 to 8am on Nov. 11 members of the county of OPP Auxiliary Unit will be forming an Honour Guard at the Fergus cenotaph. The members will stand guard at the cenotaph in two person teams throughout the entire night. That is a tribute to Canadian veterans and members of the county of OPP Auxiliary Unit thank those who gave so much.
