Help 'Stuff A Bus' this weekend
The Centre Wellington Food Bank will be the beneficiary of the annual Stuff A Bus food drive again this year.
The event starts on Friday at 5pm at Zehrs Markets and runs through Sunday.
Elliott Coach Lines is donating the bus, and its drivers will be taking donations. The event has run for several years, and organizer Catherine Daultrey noted, “Due to the harsh economic times that affect us all, the food bank has an increased number of people who require help to feed their families.”
All of the food collected will go directly to the food bank in Centre Wellington. The money from cash donations is used to purchase food at Zehrs for the food bank.
Daultrey urged citizens to “please help us make this a successful campaign. Together we can make a difference.”
Last year, a three-quarter bus was filled with food, and cash donations totalled $1,150.
