Health, wellness fair to benefit kids

Officials are hoping a local event will get kids on the write track.

A mini health and wellness fair is being held in support of Right to Write for children who yearn to learn.

The event is at Barrie Hill United Church (5702 Wellington Road 29) on May 24 from 10am to 2pm.

Entrance is by cash donation or school supplies.

School supplies being sought include: new HB or #2 pencils, new colour pencils, new crayons, safety scissors, rulers, lined three ringed paper, 32- or 80-page scribblers, note-taking books, chalk and magic markers. The fair will feature organic coffee and tea; organic raw vegan food samples; unique health and wellness vendors and door prizes.

Organizer Mark Auger, who noted the event, which is being sponsored by Inspiring Conscious Beginnings, “will help bring community together and support a great cause.”

Right to Write is a ministry that provides school supplies to disadvantaged students around the world. For information on the fair visit markauger.ca.
