Habitat lists needs for its build

As part of the build on Forfar Street here this summer, Habitat for Humanity Guelph Wellington is in need of the following materials and tools.

They can be dropped off at the following locations: Home Hardware, County Road 7, Elora; Rona Cashway,  County Road 18, Elora; Home Hardware, Tower Street in Fergus; and Dixon Home Building Centre, 745 St. David St. N., Fergus.

Gently used CSA approved (green triangle) boots or shoes are needed for volunteers on the site. Drop them off in the bin at one of the above locations during regular business hours.  Those boots are needed for volunteers on the build site who do not have their own boots. Without them, officials cannot accommodate all of their volunteers.

The following tools are needed:

– 2 corded skill saws;

– 1 corded Sawzall;

– 1 cordless Sawzall;

– 2 extension cords (100 and 50 feet);

– 4 cordless drills;

– 2 4-foot levels;

– 6 sawhorses or 3 pair;

– 1 chop saw or sliding compound saw;

– 1 saber saw;

– 1 cordless skill saw;

– hammers;

– framing squares;

– nail pullers;

– large and small pry bars;

– sledge hammer;

– step ladders (6 feet and 8 feet);

– utility knives and blades;

– tape measures;

– various drill bits; and

– ¾” auger bit.
