Guelphs acting treasurer leaves city for position with Wellington County

The city’s acting treasurer, Susan Aram, is leaving her post for a position with Wellington County.

“Aram has been with the City of Guelph in finance for approximately nine years, most recently as the acting treasurer,” said Albert Horsman, the city’s executive director and chief financial officer.

Aram is expected to work until until July 26. It was not clear when she will take up her new post at the county.

Horsman, in an announcement posted in the city website, said Aram has accepted the position of manager of financial services at the county.

“I have enjoyed working with Sue, if only for a short time,” he added. “I look forward to continuing to work with her as a partner in her new role at the County of Wellington.”

Aram has served as acting treasurer since May 2011.

The city will immediately begin recruitment to fill Aram’s position, and Horsman will continue leading the finance team to manage departmental initiatives including the city’s 2013 budget preparation.
