The population here is getting older and efforts are underway to ensure that the city remains age-friendly one.

The Older Adult Strategy considers issues such as age-friendly housing, transportation, outdoor spaces and buildings, social participation and respect and social inclusion.

Seniors, soon-to-be-seniors and people who care for and about seniors are invited to review the findings from the Age-Friendly Guelph survey and community forums.

The public is invited to attend a presentation and discussion  at the Evergreen Seniors Community Centre, at 683 Woolwich Street on Aug. 29 from 9:30  to 11:30am.

Participants are asked to reserve a spot by Aug. 27. Contact evergreen@guelph.ca or by calling 519-823-1291.For more information, contact Wendy Kornelsen, manager of senior services for Community and Social Services, City of Guelph at 519-822-1260, extension 2684.
