GUELPH – The Guelph Black Heritage Society, in collaboration with NEUROorganics and The Kween Company, has announced the ‘Mind Your Mind – Relearn. Reprogram. Relief. certificate program.

The program is designed for community members interested in equity and anti-racism work through a mental health lens.

The goal is to unlearn policies and practices and refocus them towards community building and healing through new approaches. Participants will modernize their approach to tolerance, reprogram relationships, and find relief in a new set of strength-based values.

The program is presented though a series of workshops. The first three will be virtual, and the final will be hybrid with the option to meet in person at the Heritage Hall.

The workshops will be held on Nov. 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 1 to 2:30pm.

The four workshops are:

- Marry Yourself First;

- I Don’t Need You, I Want You;

- The Effects of My Relationships; and

- Violence, Oppression, and Harm: How We Decolonize Together.

The first three workshops are presented by Dr. Shara Ally and the fourth is presented by Kween.

Participants will receive a workbook, journal, herbal tea, mug, and certificate of completion. Registrations are offered on a sliding scale from $75 to $100 ($250 value) at ticketleap.com
