Group offers walks all summer
The Family Health Team here is continuing its free walking group, hosted at the YMCA-YWCA of Guelph.
The group walked throughout the winter and spring and had an average of 22 people per session.
With the nice weather a lot of people want to walk outdoors so the team has developed trail maps that take people down a 3.5km route through the area surrounding the YM-YWCA.
All participants, whether walking indoors or outdoors, receive a free pedometer and weekly healthy living handouts.
The drop-in walking group takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 6 and 8pm at the YM-YWCA of Guelph. For more information call 519-837-0099.
