GRCA removes buoys, booms

Warning buoys and booms upstream of Grand River Conservation Authority dams will be removed during October to prepare for winter. They will be put back in place in May after the spring runoff.

The schedule includes some local buoy removal:

- Oct. 14, morning, Bissell dam, Elora; and

- Oct. 14, afternoon, Drimmie dam, Elora.

In the week of Oct. 17, the schedule will depend on weather and other factors and the buoys will be removed from:

- Conestogo dam, at Glen Allan;

- Guelph dam;

- Wellington Street dam in Guelph;

- Breslau dam;

- Everton dam; and

- Rockwood Dam.
