Grand Valley man arrested in child luring investigation
GUELPH – A Grand Valley man faces luring charges following an undercover investigation during which a Guelph Police Service officer posed as a 13-year-old girl.
“During the proactive investigation between late March and early May the officer chatted with an adult male who engaged them in sexually-explicit conversations, requested nude photos and proposed meeting at a hotel,” police stated in a May 8 press release.
On May 6, officers executed a search warrant and arrested a 60-year-old Grand Valley man on two counts of luring. Police say several devices were seized for further examination. The man was held for a bail hearing.
