Gorge Karate Dojo had successful October

Dojo – October was a special month for the Gorge Karate Dojo and other members of the International Meibukan Gojo Karate Association as the highest-ranking members of the association paid a visit to Canada.

Sensei Bill Stimpson and Sempei Dennis Reed also attended many training sessions in Brampton, where Sensei Bill was promoted to the rank of 6th dan and Sempei Dennis was awarded a 3rd dan ranking.

Master Meitatsu Yagi, 10th dan, and his two sons Akihito Yagi, 9th dan, and Akihiro Yagi, 8th dan, are seen below in the middle row. Students across the association were trained in a number of rigorous seminars over a two-week period and some local dojos, including Gorge Karate in Elora, were privileged to host an event on Oct. 17, at which the students from Elora and surrounding areas were put through their paces. It was a great experience for all to get together, work hard, and enhance their skills, organizers said.
