GUELPH – Goodwill Ontario Great Lakes has opened a new Attended Donation Centre at 485 Speedvale Ave. E., Unit 5.

The new location gives Guelph residents another option for donating gently used clothing, household goods, accessories and other reusable items. Donations are evaluated and sorted for reuse, with usable goods eventually made available through Goodwill stores.

The centre has also created four new employment opportunities through Goodwill’s social enterprise model, which provides employment and skills-development opportunities for people facing barriers to employment.

The new donation centre is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm, Saturday from 8am to 6pm and Sunday from 9am to 5pm.

Goodwill also accepts donations at 570 Kortright Rd. W. and 340 Woodlawn Rd. W., Unit 10. The Woodlawn Road location also operates as a Goodwill Community Store.
