Goodbye for now! Circular Store going on hiatus starting March 28

GUELPH – The Circular Store will be closing as of March 28.

The Circular Store is a program of the Guelph Tool Library that has been a staple in the downtown Guelph community for the past year.

It’s set apart from other thrift stores with its ultra low pricing and a hub for recycling and community care.

“We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished with this ambitious program and we know many will be sad to see it go,” official state in a press release.

“But, the Guelph Tool Library is hopeful that it won’t be gone for too long. We are currently exploring alternate funding options and innovative ways to provide similar services to our Guelph community.”

The Circular Store started through the Circular Opportunity Innovation Launchpad (COIL) following the success of the Circular Fashion Festival.

The pop-up project began in February 2023, with a thrift store that focuses on strengthening the circular economy through upcycling efforts and specialized recycling programs.

Look for closing sales over the month of March and come down and say “Goodbye, for now!”
