Goderich doing master plan prior to accepting any aid

When Goderich was devastated by a tornado this summer, the offers to help poured in from all over.

Wellington County was among those offering to help.

Warden Chris White told council on Sept. 29 that the county had offered to help replant trees in the stricken area. He made the offer soon after the tornado.

White said at the council meeting he had recently learned Goderich has been swamped by offers to help. He said its chief administrative officer  told him that they are hoping to complete a master plan before making any commitments about what they will do to rebuild and reforest.

White said, “He indicated we might be able to help in the spring.”
