East Wellington Community Services recently announced the annual Give a Gift of Community Support fundraising campaign raised $25,857.
“This result is just amazing,” said East Wellington Community Services executive director Kari Simpson.
“Community means everything. Being able to have access to services and program in the community, especially in East Wellington because it is so vast and rural, is an important factor for many individuals and families and their ability to remain in this community – our community.
“The results of this campaign show how important what do as an agency is and how important access to the community programs and services we provide are to those who reside in the East Wellington area.”
EWCS manager of community and volunteer services Erika Westcott added, “We are deeply touched and words just cannot express the impact that these funds will make toward 2014 and our programs and services.”
