A 48-year tradition continues as the Groves Hospital Volunteer Association awarded bursaries to selected students entering health related courses in universities and colleges. The $2,000 bursaries are paid over a two year period.
This year, the three successful candidates are graduates of  Centre Wellington District High School.
Holly Van Ankum, Alma, will be studying biology at the University of Guelph  and hopes to pursue a career as a family physician
Tess Royal, Fergus, will be studying nursing in a Western-Fanshawe collaborative nursing program
Sara Terpstra, Ariss, will be attending McMaster University school of nursing.
The Volunteer Association wishes the students great success in their chosen fields.
