GUELPH – The Guelph Humane Society (GHS) is excited to introduce its new four-year strategic plan, “Charting our Future Direction,” outlining the organization’s roadmap for 2024-2027.

With a focus on advancing animal welfare, driving organizational growth, and fostering community connections, the plan reflects GHS’s commitment to creating a more compassionate world for animals.

“As chair of the Guelph Humane Society board, I am thrilled to present our new strategic direction which sets forth our commitment to prioritizing animal welfare and engaging with our community,” says board chair Meaghan Middleton.

“This plan underscores our dedication to making meaningful and lasting impacts on the lives of animals and the communities we serve.”

Through the plan, GHS emphasizes its focus on advancing animal welfare through responsive care and community engagement.

Inspiring the community

Another important aspect of the plan is to drive organizational growth and strength through financial sustainability, promoting a culture that fosters well-being, and inspiring the community.

The plan also demonstrates GHS’s commitment to bringing the community together to support shared values and goals to drive positive change for vulnerable animals and resources for the people who care for them.

“This strategic plan represents a pivotal moment for the Guelph Humane Society as we chart our course for the future,” GHS executive director said Lisa Veit.

“By focusing on program excellence, organizational health, and community collaboration, we are poised to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and the well-being of our community.”
