Georgetown man dead following collision
ERIN – A Georgetown man is dead following a collision between an SUV and a boom lift here.
Emergency crews were called to the scene, at the intersection of Trafalgar Road North (Wellington Road 24) and Sideroad 10 in Erin, on Sept. 24 at about 6:30am.
Wellington County Ontario OPP officials say the boom lift and vehicle collided, but they did not offer details on why the lift was on the road.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at scene.
He was later identified as Lloyd Cockburn, 59, of Georgetown.
The operator of the boom did not require medical care.
