MOUNT FOREST – The Mount Forest Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation (LMHF) hosted its fifth annual gala, Feathers & Fedoras: The Golden Age, in support of Louise Marshall Hospital on June 14.
A sold-out crowd gathered at the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex for an evening of dinner, dancing, fun and fundraising, all set to a 1920s speakeasy theme.
This year, the LMHF set a goal for this event to raise $117,000 to fund key pieces of equipment needed to support the inpatient unit at Louise Marshall Hospital, including vital signs machines, central care monitors for special care rooms, ceiling-mounted patient lifts, and furniture upgrades.
Not only was this goal met, but it was exceeded, with more than $175,000 raised through the Gala fundraiser.
The additional funds raised will be applied to other essential capital projects and equipment needed at Louise Marshall Hospital.
“The Foundation would like to extend a warm thank you to the many generous sponsors and donors who supported the event, to the guests in attendance, as well as to the dedicated gala committee and volunteers whose creativity and hard work helped bring the gala to life,” officials stated in a press release.
“It is only with the truly outstanding support from our community that this success was made possible,” stated LMHF board chair Scott Hartle.
“We are so grateful for the many contributions of our guests, sponsors and donors, as well as our vendors and volunteers, that helped to make this year’s gala our best one yet.”
Plans are already underway for the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation’s sixth annual Gala in June, 2026.
