Fugitive file

GUELPH – City police  continue to use technology to work with citizens.

The Guelph Police Service launched two new sections of their www.guelphpolice.com website today. The site has been improved to include a “fugitive file” and “breaking News” sections on the home page.

“We added the fugitive file to assist our investigators in locating individuals that are currently wanted by our service,” said Sergeant Doug Pflug.  “We also added a breaking News section to the front page to make our daily News releases more accessible and draw more people into the site.”

A recent scan of Google Analytics shows the site was visited 3,328 times by 2,042 different visitors, with 10,344 pages visited between Oct. 18 and 24.

During that time, the site had visits from 38 different countries, with Canada, the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, South Korea, Indonesia, Germany, China, Italy and India being the top 10.

Pflug said, “We welcome you to check out the two new sections and provide us feedback.”

Guelph Police also offer a Twitter feed.
