Fresh goods and family fun featured at July 9 Clifford Carnival Celebration

Event in village’s new Celebration Square includes dog show, comedian, makers market

CLIFFORD – The Clifford Connects committee is gearing up for the celebration of the summer on July 9, with festivities by day and a party by night at the Clifford Carnival Celebration.

Carnival-goers can spend between 10am and 2pm in Celebration Square with their family to experience a full lineup of carnival activities, from balloons, face painting and tunes by DJ Cody to food trucks and fair food, a Makers’ Market, sidewalk sales and more.

“Make sure to catch R&R Pet Paradise Power Paws Show at 11am to be captivated by the intelligence and agility of the cutest show dogs, then stick around for the award-winning clean comedian and variety artist Bob Cates, who will present his show Comedy in Motion at 1pm,” organizers urge.

Parking Lot Party

Those of age of majority are welcome to keep the party going at the Parking Lot Party outside the arena from 9pm to midnight.

“The community has come together to offer an amazing variety of activities and performances to make the perfect day trip in Clifford,” said Minto marketing and community development coordinator Erin Raftis.

“We urge you to check out the full schedule on our website, so you don’t miss anything.

“Local residents are encouraged to join in a community-wide yard sale. Email: erin@town.minto.on.ca with address to list your sale.”
