Foodapalooza features food, crafts, music

Food, fun and more – Hosted by Home Town Hot Dogs and Sausages, along with the Drayton Kinsmen, Foodapalooza took place on May 6 in Drayton’s municipal parking lot. Food trucks offered a wide variety of treats including tacos, funnel cakes, jerk, schnitzel, and sausages, while several craft and artisan vendors displayed their wares. Local band The New Nelson entertained the crowd. Garrett Schouten, 14, right, of Clifford, entertained with his balloon creations. Schouten, also known as “Chuckles,” has been in business for four years, and was one of three young entrepreneurs to be featured at the event. Payton McGrath is obviously quite taken with her balloon flower, while mom Emily looks on. Abby Porter is a Grade 8 student at Drayton Heights Public School who has started her own business, Crafty Jewellery.
