Food drive on at Zehrs
With Volunteer Week coming to a close, the local food bank is still looking for donations to keep its shelves stocked.
Fergus Zehrs is hosting a food drive this weekend with assistance from emergency response workers and volunteers. The “Extra Helping Easter Food Drive” will be held April 11 to 13.
The Zehrs drive on Saturday will attempt to stuff an ambulance with non-perishable food items.
The food bank is also hosting a volunteer appreciation open house April 11 from 2 to 6pm at its location at 105 Queen St. E. Refreshments will be served.
