Food-A-Palooza returns to Drayton

DRAYTON – Hometown Hot Dogs and Sausages has announced the return of their Food-A-Palooza food event  in the Drayton municipal parking area directly adjacent to the Drayton Fire Hall.

The season-ending event is a collaborative effort between Hometown Hot Dogs and the Township of Mapleton.

It will run from 11:30am to 6:30pm and feature Hart and Ziel Dutch food truck, Berlin 95 (German) food truck, Big Jerk Jamaican food truck, the Funnel Cloud food truck which offers funnel cakes, fritters and more, and of course, Hometown Hot Dogs and Sausages with their gourmet hotdogs, sausages and soft pretzels.

“We are really looking forward to this event; Drayton is where we started and we are thinking to start and end our season every year with the Food-A-Palooza Festival,” said Christian Giffin of Hometown Hot Dogs.

“We will have music and have dedicated half the parking area to artisans and crafters to show and sell their wares.”

Giffin  noted table fees for crafters ($20) “will be donated to the Drayton Rotary Club projects and the food vendors will be making a voluntary donation as well.”

Hometown Hot Dogs is currently looking for local crafters and artisans. To be a part of the festival email hometownhotdogs2021@gmail.com.
