GUELPH – The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) will participating in Mental Health and Education Week again this year, from May 6 to 10.
Students and staff will focus on the theme “Five Days of Wellness.”
Each day throughout the week, the UGDSB community will explore an aspect of wellness. Daily topics are:
- what is wellness;
- the language of wellness;
- the science of wellness;
- connection to nature; and
- the practice of wellness.
As with previous years, the UGDSB Mental Health and Education Week committee hosted a student contest asking for student designed logo submissions.
This year’s winner is Jordan C, a Grade 12 student at Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute.
Classrooms will submit summaries of their learning as part of the Mental Health and Education Week Classroom Challenge.
Submissions can be a video, PDF, slide deck or any other form of media of all the areas of wellness they focused on during the week.
