Fishing derby set for park for July 12
The conservation area here is the site of an annual fishing derby from 8am to 3pm this Sunday.
The derby entry fee is regular park admission plus $1. Registration is at the boat launch. The longest fish will determine the winning fish and ties will be decided by a coin toss for the catch-and-release event.
Rules include no fish on stringers can be entered and participants should have a live well.
Derby entrants will be fishing for catfish, smallmouth bass, and pike. For more information call 519-638-2873.
