Fire training

Wellington County firefighter recruits have been training for their new roles since August. On Oct. 17, trainees from stations across the county, including Mapleton, Guelph/Eramosa, Puslinch and Minto, met at the Town of Erin Public Works facility in Hillsburgh for their first live fire training exercises. Recruits learned skills and techniques used to extinguish a variety of fires such as dumpster, brush and car blazes.   Photo by Tristan Clark
