PUSLINCH – With Christmas around the corner, the Puslinch Fire Department is asking the public to help them fill a truck in support of the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington’s Adopt-a-Family program.

The children’s foundation is seeking donations of new, unwrapped toys or gift cards as it strives to offer a memorable Christmas to families in need.

On Nov. 26, from noon to 3pm, the fire department is accepting those donations and will deliver them to the foundation.

“Drive by, drop off and help us fill the truck,” organizers urge.

The most useful gift cards are from Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart, Tim Hortons, Stone Road Mall, Amazon, and local grocery stores in amounts of $25 or $50, organizers say.

Tax receipts can be issued for gift cards if the original purchase receipt is submitted with the donation, along with name, address and contact information.

The Puslinch Fire Department is located at 7404 Wellington Road 34.
