Band party – The Fergus Pipe Band plays in Santa Claus parades in both Elora and Fergus and after the parade on Dec. 3 band members held a Christmas party. There, Adam Black received the annual Jim Mackenzie “Tribute to Dedication” award. Black plays the snare drum and on occasion the heavy bass drum and received the award because he was the most improved player and because he goes above and beyond being just a band member, officials say.
