Fergus man dead after being struck by vehicle in Wilmot
WILMOT – Police are looking for the driver of a red Toyota FRS sports car after a Fergus man was struck and killed here last Thursday night.
Cambridge OPP attended a collision on Highway 7-8 in Wilmot Township on Oct. 22 involving a man who died of his injuries.
The man "had crashed his vehicle, then was struck by a second vehicle as he walked back onto the roadway in foggy conditions," states a tweet from police.
The man was later identified as Hayden Bott, 22, of Fergus.
In a second tweet, OPP officials said they are looking for "any witnesses that may have seen a red Toyota FRS sports car prior to 11pm in the area of Hwy. 7-8 and Regional Rd. 12."
