The Fergus Library will re-open in its permanent location on March 31

“The County of Wellington is excited to announce the library’s official re-opening,” stated Wellington County chief librarian Murray McCabe, in a March 18 press release. “A lot of people are working hard to get the building ready, and the staff and community are looking forward to the opening of the expanded and revitalized branch.”

The formal opening ceremonies will take place at 11am at the Fergus Public Library, 190 Andrews Street West.

The ceremony will include a ribbon-cutting with Warden George Bridge and members of Wellington County council.

Also attending will be members of the county library board and municipal leaders from Fergus and Centre Wellington.

The library’s temporary location was set to close on March 18. Moving day was scheduled March 19.
